Starting a Data & AI career: tips to get a job to love

Abstract
The seminar delves into the dynamic and ever-expanding realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI), in the light of a decade’s worth of industry insights. We will focus on the pivotal transitions and decisions that shape a career in Data and AI, from securing the first job to achieving growth within a company, and eventually, making strategic moves across the industry. In particular, we discuss crucial aspects in selecting the right companies, understanding the most in-demand roles, and focusing on the necessary skills and AI frameworks. Depending on the kind of company or business of interest, one might want to focus on learning different types of skills or different types of tech stacks.
The talk will go through 3 main chapters, each dedicated to a different phase in the career of any specialist in the Data and AI industry: getting the first job, growing in the company you work at, and changing company.
